👁 Evaluation in my collection: Great – 9.5/10

📅 Release Year: 2006 | 💰 Release Price: ~100 $

📰 Why this phone matters: As odd as it may be for me to say, it’s a really cute phone, even a little girly perhaps. It has a certain je-ne-sais-quoi feel when it comes to its looks. A warped egg maybe? You decide. The EF51 has a small TFT display with a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels and 256k colors. The keypad is right behind the music player panel in front. So all you have to do is flip it open. The keys on the pad may seem small, but they’re easy to use.On one side you’ll find a dedicated voice recorder key followed by the volume keys and the dedicated camera key. There’s also the proprietary charging port. On the other side is the proprietary earphone / USB socket, but thankfully BenQ-Siemens has provided a converter to 3.5mm. Underneath this socket is the miniSD card slot. The EF51 weighs in at 95g which also makes it a light mobile phone aside from being small.

Motorola V3
Quick View💎 Rarity Index: D (Very Common)
👁 Evaluation in my collection: Great – 9.0/10
🕵 Motorola Codename: Siliqua
⏱ Life timer: N/A | 📦 Boxed: YES
📅 Release Year: 2005 | 💰 Release Price: ~450 $
📊 Units Sold: ~130M
📰 Why this phone matters: The Motorola Razr (styled RAZR codenamed Siliqua) was a series of mobile phones by Motorola, part of the 4LTR line. The V3 was the first phone released in the series and was introduced in July 2004 and released in the market in the third quarter of 2004.The V3 model was followed soon thereafter by the improved V3i, including a collaboration with Apple Inc. for iTunes to be built-in. It was launched in 2005.Because of its unique appearance and thin profile, it was initially marketed as an exclusive fashion phone. However, within a year, its price was lowered and as a result, it sold over 50 million units by July 2006. Leading up to the release, Motorola’s cell phone division sales were stagnant and losing money. The success of the Razr made the division profitable again. Over the Razr’s four-year run, the V3 model sold more than 130 million units, becoming the best-selling clamshell phone in the world to date.
The Razr series was marketed until July 2007, when the succeeding Motorola Razr2 series was released. The succeeding models were the V8, the V9, and the V9m. However, Razr2 sales were not as good as the original V3 series, with consumers moving to competing products. Because Motorola relied so long upon the Razr and its derivatives and was slow to develop new products in the growing market for feature-rich touchscreen and 3G phones, the Razr appeal declined, leading Motorola to eventually drop behind Samsung and LG in market share for mobile phones. Motorola’s strategy of grabbing market share by selling tens of millions of low-cost Razrs cut into margins and resulted in heavy losses in the cellular division.
In October 2011, Motorola resurrected the Razr brand for a line of Android smartphones: the Droid Razr for Verizon Wireless (known simply as the “Motorola RAZR” on other networks) and an improved variant, the Droid Razr Maxx. The new “Razr” line shares the trademark thinness and stylized tapered corners with the original. The series was marketed until 2013.
On November 14, 2019, Motorola again revived the Razr brand, this time for an Android-based foldable smartphone styled after the original Razr, which carried the same name.

📰 Why this phone matters: The Motorola V70 is by far one of the sleekest mobiles seen to date. Its innovative design; silver casing; compact size (3.7 by 1.5 by 0.7 inches; 2.9 ounces); and inverse-image (black background, white letters), five-line circular display all contribute to this mobile’s “wow” factor. But the real eye-catcher is its 360-degree rotating keypad cover.📝 Reviews when released: Cnet.com 🔗

Nokia 2110i: Special Festival de Cannes 1995 No. 0929 of 1000
Quick View💎 Rarity Index: S (Ultra Rare)
⭐ WOW Factor: The first Nokia phone with famous Nokia ringtone
👁 Evaluation in my collection: Great – 9/10
⏱ Life timer: N/A | 📦 Boxed: NO
📅 Release Year: 1994 | 💰 Release Price: ~700 £
📊 Units Sold: ~1000
📰 Why this phone matters: The Nokia 2110i Special Festival de Cannes 1995 edition is one of the earliest officially numbered Nokia limited editions ever created. Produced in a run of only 1000 units for the French operator Itineris, this handset features a unique multi-color artistic design celebrating the Cannes film festival, with the official serial number printed directly on the housing. This unit is number 0929 of 1000, making it a rare and collectible piece of Nokia history.Based on the Nokia 2110i platform, this special edition includes all the technological milestones that made the 2110 series one of Nokia’s most important early models. It was the first Nokia phone to feature the now iconic Nokia tune ringtone, and introduced the dynamic softkey interface that later evolved into the Navi-key concept used across Nokia’s Series 20 devices. The 2110i version expanded memory and improved performance, making it one of the most popular business-class handsets of the mid 1990s.
What sets this edition apart is the custom Festival de Cannes artwork. The bright, artistic color scheme and festival-themed illustrations stand in sharp contrast to the conservative designs of the era. Each handset in the series features the Itineris branding and the printed inscription Special Festival de Cannes 1995 followed by its official number in the 0001 to 1000 range. Few promotional Nokia models were as bold or as culturally connected as this one.
Because these phones were used in real-world promotional campaigns, most surviving units show heavy wear or faded artwork. A well-preserved, fully functional unit with vibrant colors and a clearly legible serial number is rare. As one of the earliest limited editions ever produced by Nokia, and one tied directly to a global cultural event, the Festival de Cannes 1995 edition is a highly desirable collector item and an important part of Nokia’s pre-smartphone legacy.

Nokia 2300 Purple

🕵 Nokia Codename: Nickel
⏱ Life timer: 138h | 📦 Boxed: NO
📅 Release Year: 2003 | 💰 Release Price: ~150 $
📊 Units Sold: ~5M
📰 Why this phone matters: Nokia presented the Nokia 2300 model back in last year, in Moscow; however this model went for sale only now. This phone is targeted for the youth, and is presented in two colors – pink and grey. If the first one is obviously made for females, then the second one is made for men. The design once again became the company’s main target, the keyboard is made of smooth plastic, it pleasant when you touch it, the keys are oval and get crossed between each other. The keyboard looks unusual, but when you are actually use it no problems are encountered. I believe that this is the seldom exception when unusual keyboard design is actually convenient. The backlight is not even, the keys get highlighted differently, depending on the plastic’s color. For some reason this causes dissonance, typing without any source of light around is not as pleasant, as doing the same operation during the day.📝 Reviews when released: Mobile Review 🔗
